This engineer will have the following responsibilities in this dynamic role:
Laboratory evaluation and validation of new product prototype integrated circuits as well as the development and test of new product introduction milestone demonstration boards.
Validate new topology and product ideas using modern simulation tools prior to actual IC design.
Able to accept ideas from others and an open mind towards new application and product ideas.
Able to write accurate and concise documentation including bench evaluations, simulation results.
Demonstrated ability to write technical report material supporting the introduction of new products.
Requirements:
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple audiences both internal and external at Power Integrations;
BSEE and/or MSEE plus a minimum of 2 years experience in switching power supply development or switching power supply IC application engineering.
Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
Control loop design, analog design and power magnetic design
Simulation tools such as Mathcad, Simplis or Simetrix
Power conversion topologies
EMI, EMC and safety regulatory compliance
Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board design
