Our client is a fabless semiconductor startup that has developed a programmable analog signal processing platform that provides substantial gains in performance and reductions in power consumption and cost (by factors of over 10x), compared to digital signal processing platforms. The first suite of products from our client, implemented in a standard CMOS process, is targeted at the wireless cellular infrastructure market and enables operators and system OEMs to deploy cellular networks at greatly reduced power, complexity, and cost.
PRODUCT ENGINEER
Job Description
- Support and drive new product development to product release per the new product introduction procedures
- Perform product test yield analysis to maintain and improve product test yield
- Characterize new products and produce well documented test reports
- Drive the reliability qualification testing for new products
- Transfer new products into high volume production, including coordination of test fixture and automated test development
- Perform correlation between automated measurements and bench evaluation measurements
- Use statistical methodology to analyze and improve yield and reduce cost
- Support off-shore manufacturing
- Support analysis of customer returns and drive failure analysis, including writing Failure Analysis Reports
Job Requirements
- Minimum of BS in EE and 5 years of direct experience as a product engineer for CMOS RF/mixed-signal products
- Good understanding of device physics, wafer fab process technology, MOS transistor operation, basic circuit analysis, and assembly technology
- Familiar with ESD and LU tests, and IC product qualification test requirements
- Experience in ATE testing is desirable, including program development and board design, bring-up and debug on CatalystRF testers or equivalent
- Experience in RF Socket and BoM selection for automated test bench
- Solid knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
- Familiarity with RF and digital test equipment and methodologies
- Familiarity with test and debug equipment like spectrum analyzers, signal sources, network analyzers
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong skills in LabView, LabWindows or MATLAB
