Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking an Event Program Manager consultant for one of its high-tech clients located in the San Francisco Bay Area. The consultant will provide management expertise and leadership to ensure successful delivery of Tier One event programs. The ideal candidate has experience interacting with events and marketing organizations as well as IT, Web/Registration, PR, key internal stakeholders and external agencies. Some travel will be required, as well as flexibility to accommodate planning meetings with global stakeholders.

Specific responsibilities include:

* Accountability for overall management of all operations and logistics functions and deliverables related to any program or event
* Develop program operations time lines and co-develop/strategize conference agendas and programs as required
* Venue management including venue review, approvals, selection and space planning
* Overall program budget management including budget forecasting, financial reporting, POs; SOWs, etc
* Work with/manage Registration and Web Managers to determine all deliverables from pre-show through onsite execution including: forms, policies, instructions, communications, processes, websites, and extensive weekly reporting and tracking
* Food and beverage planning and management including price negotiations, menu selection, and managing guarantees and actuals onsite (working w/a third party vendor)
* Management of special events vendor and all evening social events from vendor selection and event theme through budget and on-site execution

Skills:

* 8+ years hands-on experience in Tier One event management (domestic and/or international) preferably in the technology industry (B2B)
* Proven experience with the end to end management of a wide range of corporate events, conferences and trade shows, from concept/planning, logistics management and execution
* Understanding of large, complex organizations and comfortable in a large corporate environment
* Have a proven ability to drive projects forward in a rapidly changing environment with a strong emphasis on virtual team working and conference call meetings
* Proven experience in engaging and developing collaborative relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders
* Strong overall negotiation skills (to include hotel and site contracts as well as vendor negotiations)
* Team player; ability to execute on world-class program with minimal managerial direction
* Ability to manage simultaneous projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

Within International Tax Planning, the individual will be responsible for analyzing US income tax deferral and withholding tax minimization opportunities, transactional taxes and blending foreign tax credit pools for maximum benefit of dividend remittances. The individual will manage a team that handles international portions of the tax provisions and international compliance. The individual is also responsible for international aspects of the Internal Revenue Service examinations and managing any tax controversies in the international area.

The individual through the team will maintain E&P pools for our foreign subsidiaries and international tax compliance including preparation of Forms 5471 and other international forms (e.g.: 926, 1118, 1120-F, 5713, 8821, 8832, 8858, and 8865). Within Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance (404), the individual is responsible for evaluating control procedures necessary to assure compliance with foreign tax requirements by foreign subsidiaries as well as accurate reporting of tax transactions to headquarters. The individual will also be responsible for establishing and monitoring compliance with these control procedures, this includes evaluating financial and tax systems for 404 purposes. Additional duties of the International Tax Director will include overseeing FAS 109 calculations for international transactions and for foreign subsidiaries and affiliates by analyzing local tax positions taken (UTB's and any associated penalties and interest) for FIN 48 purposes; The individual will also be responsible for managing and training the international tax staff on all aspects of tax compliance, research, planning, audit documentation and issue resolution.

This position requires a Bachelors degree in Accounting or a law degree (CPA/ Masters in Taxation and/or Bar member/LLM Tax Law strongly preferred). The ideal individual must possess demonstrated organizational, people, process, systems and project management skills. Also, the individual must possess capacity for sustained work on multiple and changing priority projects under tight time frames, strong accounting plus exceptional written and verbal communication skills are required and outstanding leadership skills are essential. The individual must have substantial international tax planning experience, as well as direct experience in managing IRS audit issues past field examinations.

Experience with signal integrity analysis tools and techniques desired. Working knowledge of HDD firmware architecture. Experience with NAND Flash failure modes highly desirable. In this position, the individual will be responsible for providing technical leadership in all aspects of ASIC design implementation; duties will include working closely with the ASIC design team in developing and modifying timing constraints for implementation. Complete ownership of Physical design implementation of the chip, Timing closure, IR/EM Analysis, and Timing/SI Signoff of the design. Ability to work with minimal supervision and act as technical lead to a team of engineers to accomplish set forth tasks is essential. He/She will be working closely with internal design team to help achieve timing closure on the chip. He/She will also drive IP integration strategies that ensure quality and avoid schedule surprises. The individual will influence and shape SanDisk's next generation physical design implementation capability to meet the demands of the design road map. Proactively work with EDA vendors to assess best in class capability and benchmark to establish compelling adoption arguments. The individual will provide technical coaching and mentoring to more junior team members and ensure the continued growth and success of the team.

This position requires a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with a minimum of 9 years of direct experience in design with at least 5 years in a technical lead role for Physical timing/SI optimization, Clock Tree design, Routing optimization, DFM, LVS and DRC. Proficiency in STA, Timing signoff off, writing, verifying modifying constraints both for timing signoff and for physical design and experience in PERL/TCL/Shell scripting is a must. Knowledge of Synthesis and DFT design tools and flow is a plus .The individual must have proven hands on experience leading the tape out of multiple large low power hierarchical 65nm/40nm designs. Expertise in Cadence, Synopsys flow is a must. Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
