Job Description
The Senior UX Designer can be based in either San Francisco, California or Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
User experience, user interface and interaction design planning and management on the Android, iOS and web platforms.
Responsible for creating and communicating detailed design and functional requirements through all stages of the product development process, including problem KLAMR is looking for an experienced UX designer to champion the user experience throughout the design and development process. The ideal candidate will have a personal interest in mobile and social applications, a passion for the consumer-products, and a deep understanding of user interface and UX design planning and management. Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively work cross-functionally are a must. And most importantly, the UX Designer must have a passion for user experience principles and enjoy working in fast-paced, start-up environment.
This role will be responsible for the UI architecture, interaction and visual design, and ultimate usability for a cross-platform product. On a day-to-day basis, this person will partner with business owners, project managers, engineers and vendors on adapting both existing and new functionality to the products.
Create definition and experience briefs, user flows, wireframes, visual comps and rapid, lightweight interactive prototypes
Translating user feedback and business requirements into visual user interfaces
Ensuring the consistent visual presentation and UI design through UX principles
Partner with the product team to determine and define the product specifications
Recognize and help define the differences between the platforms and how it directly affects the user experience in each
Work closely with product team to solve complex design challenges
Ensure consistency of the user experience, regardless of the platform
Work close with the multiple development teams to ensure accuracy of the final product to those of the product specs
Work closely with engineers to implement UI features
Desired Skills & Experience
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years experience in UX design and UI development for mobile platforms including iPhone, iPad, and Android
Extensive knowledge of the latest graphic/web design tools and front-end development techniques, including:
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Dreamweaver
- HTML/XHTML
- CSS/CSS2
- Javascript/jQuery/AJAX
A design portfolio highlighting visual appeal and usability
UX design experience with touchscreen, embedded, and/or mobile interfaces
Demonstrated ability to envision critical components of UX/UI design and development throughout the software lifecycle, incorporating components in early versions that can be enhanced and built upon in future versions
Experience designing and developing graphical content and artwork on multiple projects at the same time
Deep understanding of Android, iPhone and web usability best practices
Creative approach to problem solving, innovation and issue resolution
Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering highly-polished wireframes under tight time constraints
Comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment
