Polargy is an energy efficiency company that provides airflow management solutions to data centers. Polargy's Hot and Cold Aisle Containment Systems and associated installation and design services are increasingly being adopted as an energy saving measure. Polargy is the premier national brand in this emerging market with customers across the US including Verizon, Bank of America, Dell Computer, Pixar Animation and UC Berkeley.
POSITION: Project Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage, design and deliver containment projects on time and direct activities related to all phases of the project life cycle.
• Collaboratively work with clients, internal departments, outside consultants and construction partners as the single point of contact through all phases of the project.
• Perform design tasks to include travel for field measurements, develop CAD designs, produce construction shop drawings and bills of material that can be fabricated and installed efficiently.
• Review contract conditions and ensure compliance with all contract terms, maintain timely and accurate records, report to management job progress and document all significant project events, e.g. accidents, delays, change orders, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• At least 3 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Familiarity with using 2D CAD and/or 3D modeling systems.
• Excellent written/verbal communication and listening skills.
• Well organized and able to handle multiple projects at one time.
• Ability to be flexible in work schedule and accommodate unexpected work changes.
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office suite of programs
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position resides in Sunnyvale, CA with 20% air travel expected. Compensation will consist of base salary, health and vision benefits, life insurance, vacation, sick pay and paid holidays.
