| In this position, the individual will be responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing and debugging firmware for the next generation of Enterprise SSDs. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the SSD firmware and play a significant role in delivering next generation Enterprise SSDs to market. The candidate will work with the firmware leads, ASIC and flash media teams on a daily basis, and will help specify and implement the firmware algorithms needed to achieve best in class performance goals. This position requires a BS CS or EE minimum, MS preferred. Minimum 9 years experience in embedded firmware development on SSD, flash or HDD storage products. Must have a strong understanding of relevant SCSI standards and experience working with flash devices preferred. Must have strong problem solving skills; experience using scopes and logic analyzers are a plus. Embedded C++ and assembly language experience required. A proven track record of significant individual achievement in firmware development. Demonstrated ability to work independently and deliver on schedule and to specification. Must be self-motivated and self-directed, and in addition demonstrated the ability and desire to work in a team environment to meet individual and shared goals. Experience with ARM and distributed multi-processor architectures preferred. Working knowledge of the Microsoft software development tools and methods. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
