For more information please visit our website at www.spectra-labs.com Spectra Labs is currently seeking a Product Manager to be responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the product life cycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with IT, Clinical Support, Billing, Laboratory Operations, and the Product Development team to deliver state-of-the-art products. It also includes working with Sales, Marketing and Customer Service to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. The Product Manager´s job also includes ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company´s overall strategy and goals.
Principal Responsibilities* Define the product strategy and road map, based upon customer input, market research and competitive analysis
* Deliver Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) and Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) with prioritized features and corresponding justification
* Balance new product features and enhancements to existing features and defect fixes
* Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products/software * Be an expert with respect to the competition
* Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
* Work closely with Sales and Marketing to develop sales tools and collateral
* Work closely with Field Education to develop customer training tools
* Propose an overall budget to ensure success
* Brief and train the sales force at quarterly/annual sales meetings
* Perform product demonstrations
* Work with external third parties to assess partnership/licensing opportunities
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
Bachelor´s Degree in Marketing or clinical informatics (MBA preferred)
Experience
1. Minimum of 5+ years experience as a Product Manager or Product Marketing Manager 2. Minimum of 5+ years experience in the medical device/healthcare industry 3. Demonstrated success defining and launching software products in the medical device/healthcare market 4. Experience working with Rally or other Agile-based software in conjunction with the Agile software development process 5. Expertise in workflow solutions, mobility, or search technologies is a plus 6. Expertise in regulatory compliance is a plus

2. Strong technical and analytical skills and thorough understanding of the complete software development life cycle.
3. Ability to correlate opinions and input from a variety of sources and make informed technical decisions
4. Strong problem solving skills
5. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
6. Computer skills - Appropriate knowledge of Microsoft® Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe® Acrobat
7. Well organized, detail-oriented.
8. Must be able to travel 50% of time
