Responsibilities :
The UI Engineer will be the primary person responsible for taking the creative design from the graphics and usability team and making it a reality. There is a user base ranging from millions of customers The person will work directly with the engineering managers to incorporate the design and development into the full product development lifecycle.
Experience in the following areas will be critical success factors for the successful candidate:
· Collaborate with the technical team to develop front end user interfaces for web based software products
· Judge and analyze the optimal approach for the development and implementation of our Web applications using ASP.NET, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, XML, XSL, XSLT, XHTML, SQL Server, ORACLE, and web services
· Assist with technical documentation and provide assistance to the Quality Assurance team to resolve highly complex technical issues with the software and improve site usability
· Lead the effort in evolving the applications to adhere to section 508 of the U.S. Code as well as maximizing accessibility without degrading from the user experience
· Guide/direct others in implementing the approved frameworks and patterns throughout the applications
The ideal successful applicant will also possess the following qualifications
· Be a responsible self-starter who is able to work under general supervision. This position relies on experience and judgment to plan & accomplish goals.
· Have: a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience; a minimum of 3 years experience developing user interfaces for web applications using CSS, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, and strong system design skills with an emphasis on object-oriented design
· Earn certifications in web development technologies such as C# or web services preferred, but not required
· Proven familiarity and experience in agile methodologies with rapid application prototyping is preferred, but not required
