SUMMARY
Store Manager -- Long term management opportunity primarily responsible for providing superior customer consultation to identify customers´ expectations for fit, alterations, re-sizing and re-styling. The Tailor Maid is seeking a manager as serious about bringing ´professionalism, consistency, and creativity to the alterations business´, as they are. This opportunity is about creating an ultra friendly customer environment where customers are delighted and are so happy with their current alteration work, they reach back into their closet for another possible alteration. As well this opportunity requires a team player who will work closely with the established seamstress team to deliver truly quality work. We strive to differentiate our work from other alteration businesses with ultra high quality and timely delivery. The current manager is leaving after seven+ years. We are seeking the right, long term manager who wants to partner for success.


DUTIES
Provide consistent senior level customer consultation and interface with workroom seamstresses
Fit customers using precise marking or pinning according to standards to convey the correct instructions to the seamstresses
Determine charge for each garment on the alteration ticket, according to the official price list
Set customer expectation to determine the realistic promise date available; manage work completion
Optimize expectation and utilize discretion working with customers
Perform quick repairs as needed
Have strong understanding of the alteration system and a working ability to check in/out garments
Performs additional tasks as required

REQUIREMENTS
Functional/Technical Skills in the Clothing Alterations environment
Customer Service Focus -- cheerful with a good dose of expectation management
Managing and Measuring Work
Technical Learning
Vocational training in alterations, pattern making or other highly relevant area, etc is preferred
Five + years of experience in a retail environment or in a workroom that featured training
Experience as a sewing machine operator would be ideal
Long term intentions (current manager is leaving after 7 years)

SPECIFICS
Hours: Negotiable but about 35 hours per week or 70 hrs per 15 days, weekend rotation required
Pay: Depending on experience, fair or a bit better and medical benefits are available !
Start Date: December 2012
