Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking several Web Copywriter consultants for project-based assignments for our S.F. Bay Area technology clients. The Web Copywriters will be responsible for copy writing, copy editing, proofreading and managing the copy process and communications for our clients' corporate marketing campaigns on the web.
Candidacy for these assignments requires proven web copywriting experience, developing unique content and enhancing existing content, and ensuring optimization for search engines. Must have an understanding of the enterprise B2B or consumer technology market space. The ideal consultants are creative, confident and flexible with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Specific responsibilities include:
* Partner with stakeholders from Product Marketing and Field Sales teams to gather relevant information in order to create benefits-driven and persuasive web copy and modify existing web copy
* Research and generate key words; analyze and review keywords across corporate site
* Collaborate with marketing to fulfill project objectives
* Manage time efficiently to meet all project deadlines
* Proofread projects for clarity, accuracy and brand and legal compliance
Skills:
* 5-10 years of copywriting and editing experience with a web emphasis within the technology industry, B2B or B2C
* Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills. Must have an exceptional grasp of grammar, syntax and style. Writing samples/portfolio examples demonstrating strong digital focus and industry experience required.
* Must have an understanding of SEO
* Confident, diplomatic and credible presence for partnering with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization
* Program management experience to drive the team and overall campaigns
* Solid proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
* BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, PR or similar
Rate: Hourly rate D.O.E., as a w2 or 1099 consultant of Crawford Group
Location: Fully offsite, remote. No phone calls please.
Hours/duration: ASAP – PT to FT scaling dependent on client project needs
