Corporate Recruiter position w/up to 50% travel -based in Kennesaw, GA /northwest Atlanta area
Amount of Travel Required: 20-50%
Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for interviewing, screening, and extending offers to all potential field and office employees to fill existing and future job openings and promote career opportunities within the organization. Also assists the Human Resources function in carrying out various human resource programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
•Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
•Interview applicants at the most convenient division location to obtain information on work history, training, education, and job skills.
•Maintains current knowledge of various HR laws, practices, procedures, and trends.
•Performs searches for qualified candidates according to relevant job criteria, using computer databases, networking, internet recruiting resources, media, recruiting firms, and employee referrals to effectively fill positions.
•Prepares and maintains employment records and various human resource files.
•Contacts applicants to inform them of employment possibilities, consideration, and selection.
•Informs potential applicants about facilities, operations, benefits, and job or career opportunities in the organization.
•Screens and refers applicants to hiring personnel in the organization, making hiring recommendations when appropriate.
•Provides HR guidance to managers.
•Hires applicants and authorizes paperwork assigning them to positions.
•Communicates with other recruiters and HR department on a regular basis. Attends Human Resource meetings as needed.
•Coordinates and conducts presentations at high schools and technical schools. Establishes and maintains relationships with area schools. Also, attends various recruiting events.
•Actively participates in professional and trade related organizations.
•Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
•A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, or Business and one year of Human Resources experience; or
•An Associate’s degree and two years administrative experience in Human Resources; or
•Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
COMPUTER SKILLS
•Must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES
•Professional in Human Resources (PHR or SPHR) preferred.
