GLOBAL MAJOR ACCOUNT MANAGER � Networking Sector

� You will work as a member of Wind River's Global Major Account sales organization focusing on our Networking solutions driving sales of our valuable technology and services including Carrier Grade Communications Server, Intelligent Network Platform, Open Virtualization Platform; and, of course, our industry leading WR Linux and VxWorks Operating Systems solutions.
� For this major account role, you will report to our Global Head � Major Accounts Networking Sector and work with a team consisting of 3 Global Account Directors, Director of Global Major Networking Accounts for NA East, Field Applications Engineer, Product Specialists, Solutions Architects, and an Inside Sales Representative.
� Your responsibility is to cover an account module of pre-selected strategic targets within the western NA geography. These accounts include Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia. You will be expected to grow these 3 existing accounts and swiftly identify, cultivate and close new and renewal business opportunties for both product and services solutions.
� Build a pipeline of qualifed opportunities and be responsible for delivering accurate forecasts in support of quarterly revenue targets.
� You will be a great listener in order to deeply understand our customers� driving business issues and technical requirements. You will work with senior level decision makers as a trusted advisor and develop strong business relationships.
� Coordinate demonstrations, seminars, etc. to present the value of using Wind River networking solutions.
� Work with Field Engineers, vertical market representatives and various WR resources to demonstrate how Wind River solutions will address the needs of the customer.
� Prepare written proposals articulating our solutions. Close business on a quarterly basis that reflects at least 100% of the assigned quarterly goal.
� Direct the effort of the Customer Support Organization to work with the customer after the sale to make sure that they are using our products to the maximum benefit
� Provide accurate and factual information regarding customer product feedback to Wind River Marketing and Engineering.
� Understand the strengths and weaknesses of our competitor products.
� Convey an image of Wind River as a customer centric total solutions company.

REQUIREMENTS

� BS/BA Degree - MBA preferred (BSEE/BSCE helpful but not necessary)
� Approximately 10 years technology sales experience in software with key competencies in virtualization, NFV, SDN, Deep packet inspection, network software, Linux or embedded software preferred
� Demonstrated success using a consultative, solutions oriented sales approach
� Track record of success achieving or exceeding assigned quota
� Solid grasp of Networking and Software solutions and positioning
� Demonstrated success establishing and cultivating business relationships with �C� level executives
� Strong hunting and prospecting skills as well as the ability to build solid relationships in order to establish trusted advisor level credibility with customers
� Evidence of success in selling high dollar value solutions to customers within the Network Equipment market (Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia experience is ideal but will consider other major networking account experience such as Juniper, Avaya, Cisco, etc.)
� Excellent listening, presentation and public speaking skills
� Moderate travel will be required
