For the Atlanta Headquarters and specifically for the Warehouse, Parcel & Postal Division (WPP), YER is recruiting a dynamic HR Generalist. The position will report to the Senior HR Manager.
The Position:
The HR Generalist aligns business objectives with employees and management in the Warehouse, Parcel, and Post division (WPP). The position will also act as an employee champion and change agent. Furthermore, assessing and anticipating HR related needs to hire, train, and retain employees in a high growth organization. Communicating needs proactively with WPP management will be necessary, with the goal of developing integrated solutions. The HR Generalist will formulate partnerships across the HR function in order to deliver value and added service to management and employees, reflecting the business objectives of the organization. The role will also include international Human Resource responsibilities and must maintain an effective level of business literacy concerning the business units’ financial position, its mid-range plans, its culture, and its competition.
Responsibilities/Duties:
• Day to day responsibilities include creation of offer letters, participation in interviews and selection, onboarding of new employees, expat management, employee career path, mid and end year appraisal process, and policy administration.
• Conducts weekly meetings with respective business units.
• Consults with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate.
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
• Manages and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
• Provides day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
• Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
• Assists recruiting department in developing contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
• Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
• Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
• Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
Education & Work Experience:
• 5-7 years of experience in Human Resources.
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• PHR or SPHR.
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational development, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.
• Relevant industry experience strongly preferred (manufacturing, engineering, construction).
• International experience required.
• Tech savvy and comfortable with Microsoft Office Applications and spreadsheet and database programs.
• Experience in high growth company required.
