The Settlement Analyst will be responsible for working detailed level reconciliations on multiple Settlement programs, ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are clean and issues are monitored and resolved quickly. This person will work cross functionally both internally and externally to settle discrepancies and will be a key contributor during root cause analysis.
A solid understanding of both systems and processes will be critical to effectively navigate through issue resolution.
This position is located in our Phoenix Settlement Accounting Operational Headquarters (Deer Valley)
Responsibilities:
� Perform transaction level reconciliation for the internal BLISS Lite and TRACS systems to ensure systems are in synch
� Perform transaction level reconciliation for the T-Mobile general purpose reloadable product
� Own several GL balance sheet account reconciliations
� Assist with reconciliation as assigned on a project basis for other partners/programs such as Telecom and eNetwork
� Own the trouble shooting and subsequent resolution of discrepancies, which includes working cross functionally with IT, Settlement, and potentially business team and the external partner
� Facilitate program on boardings to the automated recon platform, which includes general project and issue tracking/management, establishment of business processes, and aiding in the definition of new or revised SOX controls
Qualifications:
� Strong ability to perform detailed reconciliation and data analytics; must enjoy working with data
� Advanced competency in Excel
� SQL query writing a plus
� Experience with enterprise settlement and accounting systems, preferably DAX
� Possess a high degree of initiative, self-motivation and resourcefulness
� Ability to work independently with minimal supervision under rigid time constraints
� Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
� Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, clearly articulating discrepancies and finding a solution
� Enjoys a fast-paced learning environment and has an ability to understand processes end to end
� Patient, diplomatic and collaborative working with cross functional teams
� Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience
