Marketing Analytics Consultant

Responsibilities

Develop marketing metrics and conduct analysis to assess and optimize the efficacy of marketing efforts over time
Manage very complex client/partner assignments to identify and define strategic business issues requiring marketing database analysis and translate this information into insight, knowledge and understanding of business, customers, products/services and the industry
Perform data mining and predictive modeling, regression/multivariate analysis, customer profiling and segmentation, customer retention/satisfaction research and reporting
Define marketing analytics and create dashboards/reports to measure all aspects of the operations: campaign effectiveness, lead distribution, program contribution, and overall marketing performance
Develop business insights based on analysis and communicate key findings to various stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decision-making
Design and develop ad hoc marketing analysis to support hypothesis for opportunities in the areas of customer acquisition, activation, engagement and retention
Participate in the ongoing efforts to standardize and automate marketing dashboards and work with MIS and Finance partners to create/enhance standard reports
Meet with marketing management to understand goals and data sources and help establish benchmarks and metrics, ability to forecast and make projections
Develop compelling supporting materials for executive-level presentations
Manage the production and distribution of regular, standard reports for all relevant marketing metrics

Skills Required

Proven ability to provide analytic support including pulling data, preparing analyses, interpreting data, making strategic recommendations and presenting to various teams and partners
8+ years of performing and leading marketing analytics and predictive modeling preferably in a direct B2B marketing environment
4+ years working with large relational databases or data marts
Solid "Hands-On" methodology with data retrieval, manipulation, analysis and insight generation
Demonstrated proficiency with SQL and manipulating large datasets for business purposes.
Strong communication skills in order to collaborate effectively with marketing, understand requirements and interpret findings with the ability to clearly explain technical and analytical information
Expert knowledge in Excel
Superior organizational skills
Bachelor's Degree minimum
