Title: Data Analyst/Marketing Analyst
Location: Mountain View, CA
Contract: 6+ months with potential longer term
Hours: 40 hrs per week/ASAP
Rate: $35-$65hr depending on experience
As our Data Analysts, you´ll work on projects targeting Consumer products
Responsibilities:
• Set up data scripts/feeds from data whse/servers to ESP to meet our future and current campaign needs. This may include modifying existing feeds and gathering requirements
• Validate data to meet objectives. May require creating a data dictionary if necessary for some projects and data mapping.
• Ensure integrity of data and work with teams to help improve underlying infrastructure for data transfer to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage ad-hoc, prioritized requests from the Channel Marketing team
• Conduct analysis on email marketing campaigns to determine ROI and make recommendations on next steps based on this analysis
• Using statistical analyses, supporting tools (Site Catalyst, ESP, SQL, SAS, etc.), and business acumen to drive actionable insights from testing
Qualifications:
• Solid data management experience (loading data into a data warehouse, data mapping, data migration)
• Independent thinker, self-starter
• Strong attention to detail, as well as analytical skills
• Excellent project management, time management, and problem solving skills.
• A foundation in statistics is also very important - especially using statistics in a business environment to support decision making.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel. Ability to synthesize and analyze large sets of data to yield actionable findings (pivot tables, advanced formulas, etc)
• Relevant industry experience reporting and analyzing performance of online and offline marketing programs with an ROI view
• Experience in the design and execution of A/B and multivariate testing programs online and in email. Great understanding of control groups and the importance of metrics.
• Strong initiative and a go getter
• 4-5 years online marketing experience
• 1-2 years working with data
• Excellent understanding campaign performance metrics.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
