Aspera, a fast-growing and profitable start-up in the San Francisco Bay Area creating leading edge data transport software, is seeking a highly talented and experienced Field Marketing Manager for our APAC sales operations to drive, plan and implement regional marketing programs targeting prospective customers, current customers, partners and other influencers. This person will be the central point of contact for the sales organization on all marketing needs, balancing thinking with tactical execution. Location of position TBD; preferred countries are Japan, Thailand or S Korea.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive and execute targeted regional marketing plans to bring together corporate programs and regional opportunities, including but not limited to field events, webinars, tradeshows, customer references, public relations, analyst relations, industry associations and telemarketing
• Manage regional PR agencies to develop branding and presence, to include development of press releases and act as local spokesperson
• Work with local sales teams and product marketing to identify, retain and maintain local reference opportunities, and use case studies including customers and partners
• Provide sales support through sales tools, training and market expertise to the sales force to ensure their ability to consultatively sell solutions
• Manage and implement demand creation and lead generation activity to develop qualified sales leads and create brand awareness as well as develop programs to accelerate existing pipeline
• Forecast, measure and analyze impact of programs on sales cycles
• Assist corporate marketing resources in developing regional and campaign specific target lists through the CRM database
• Assist sales leadership in understanding and participating and obtaining buy in for marketing programs
• Identify sales training needs and collaboratively develop programs to address field sales knowledge weaknesses
• Build and maintain ongoing communications with the regional sales directors, field marketing peers and corporate headquarters
Required Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA desired
• Experience selling and/or marketing in the Technology Industry
• Ability to travel between 20-30%
• Experience working in marketing with proven success and high initiative in the creation and execution of effective demand generation marketing campaigns
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel and Salesforce.com
• Excellent project management and organizational skills
• Must possess excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills
• Ability to manage large detailed projects to tight timeline. Responds under pressures of time and uncertainty
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to earn trust and respect from sales management
• Outstanding presentation/communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead by example and achieve extraordinary results
• Detail oriented, high energy, self-directed, team player
• Bilingual Chinese/Korean/Japanese and English
