Cogniance (www.cogniance.com) is looking for a result oriented Sales Manager who is a hard-driving rising star with experience in the newest technologies, specifically Cloud-based and Mobile applications, and is capable of meeting or exceeding all assigned sales objectives and revenue quotas. You have experience in high tech sales and feel passionate about introducing the Cogniance model to innovative technology companies, enlightening them about the many ways in which the Cogniance model is more effective than the traditional costly, slow, and high-risk approach most startups still undertake.

Specializing in "SoLoMo" technologies, we´ve delivered world-class products for clients such as Velti, INQ Mobile, Huawei, CloudMade, Swisscom and Vocera.
Reporting to the Vice President of North American Sales, you will have the skills to generate leads, develop new accounts, close deals, and manage accounts. You are capable of thinking outside the box to find new ways to reach our target group.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate leads by developing and leveraging existing relationships
- Be one of the first point of contacts for potential new customers through personal meetings, conferences, phone calls, social media marketing and email campaigns
- Identify sales opportunities within existing and prospective clients.
- Work with prospects and the Cogniance team to determine requirements and develop value proposition to shape and close the deal.
- Engage in activities to generate client awareness of Cogniance and demand for its services.
- Work closely with Design and Engineering team to prepare sales proposals and hold review session with prospect to achieve buy-in.

Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of sales experience with proven record of professional sales accomplishments
- Ability to close deals, deliver top-line results, and a history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
- Experience selling software or software services preferred
- Experience with Cloud / Web and Mobile technologies
- Experience working with technology startup companies
- Exposure to company founders, venture capitalists, funding processes, and other players in the startup ecosystem.
- Highly organized with very effective time management skills
- Proficient with Salesforce CRM
- Strong negotiating skills
- Ability to guide others through complexity, ambiguity, and uncertainty.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, equally strong listening skills

Compensation
- Competitive base salary, OTE $145K
