Senior Software Engineer
• Act as a Software Engineer II as needed, including designing, writing and reviewing software to meet functional specifications and writing and executing test plans to minimize defects. • Write and/or review Beta and customer test plans, release documentation and user manual. • Make recommendations to improve software development and testing processes. • Assist the technical support department. • Develop training materials and conduct training. • Design and document software and hardware solutions. • Provide technical expertise, assistance and guidance to Software Engineers. • Function as a consultant to project leaders on technical issues. • Troubleshoot technical problems and communicate results. • Review the work of Software Engineers. • Develop and consistently achieve estimates for software development, testing and implementation activities according to quality standards. • Lead project related tasks. • Provide software
design, development, and implementation training.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent • 5+ years related experience and/or training. • Strong knowledge in Java, Unix or Windows and SQL. • Good leadership and communication skills. • Demonstrated technical expertise. • Occasional travel
