Experis IT Professional is looking for a Contract Paralegal consultant for our client with the below qualifications:
Title: Contract Negotiator
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: Contract
This position requires demonstrated experience in contract negotiations, formation, modification and final approval in support of indirect purchasing activity for outsourced service supply chain services. Candidate must possess a strong contracts background in services.
Responsibilities:
- - Ability to succinctly and accurately articulate contract issues to all levels within the organization.
- Successful contract formation and/or modification will require interface with top levels of internal management and with outside vendors.
- Support of internal stakeholders with vendor management activity may be required.
- Accountable for final negotiation decisions while adhering to company business practices, policies and legal requirements. You will be empowered to make major decisions on behalf of the corporation relating to completed agreements.
- Core areas of responsibility include close collaboration with internal stakeholders to insure timely closure of all contract requirements. In addition to new contract formation, the processing and negotiation of contract modifications, terminations and renewals is required.
- Resolve exceptions to terms and conditions and obtain final contract approval.
- Collaborate and work with all levels of management, including legal counsel, to successfully close on business requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills with a successful background working in a fast paced, collaborative global environment are critical to the success of this position.
Required:
- degree from an accredited college or university; with an advanced or law degree desirable.
- Working knowledge of local country commercial contract and business law is required with an in-depth understanding of legal terms and conditions and contract principles.
- 5+ years of contracts/legal experience; preferably with a focus on the support of indirect procurement activity.
