Live Events Engineer position w/Streaming, Windows OS, iOS and Linux exp - northwest Atlanta/Marietta, GA area
Travel required: 10%-15%
Reports to: Live Events Manager
Live Events Engineer
The overriding responsibility of the live events engineer will be to meet the company's business objectives, including delivering against client commitments for live streaming services, hardware and software configurations for the company's live streaming solutions and proactive/reactive resolutions of live streaming requests and trouble tickets.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for resolving escalated support tickets
· Responsible for setup and configuration of new client deployments
· Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing hardware issues
· Responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing software issues
· Responsible for building new and repairing computers/encoders
· A part of an on-call rotation shift
Desired Skills and Experience:
· Solid understanding of ALL Windows OS, iOS and ALL flavors of Linux
· Solid understanding of live streams and CDN solutions/services (a software and multimedia solution provider company)
· Solid understanding and knowledge of hardware components
· Strong problem solving skills: must be capable of accurately assessing needs, maintaining a calm business demeanor, and taking quick action to resolve issues
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related area or demonstration of equivalent knowledge through work experience
· Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in desktop support and troubleshooting
· Experience with Live Online Production environments and supporting the backend infrastructure
· Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills
· Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, exhibits great attitude with co-workers and clients, handles all task with the highest level of integrity
· Ability to learn new technologies very quickly and have an ongoing desire to stay current with the software market and the latest technologies
· Ability to focus on results while working independently when given a broad direction and desired results
