ECUMENICAL HUNGER PROGRAM
Position Description

Job Title: Clothes Closet Coordinator
Reports to: Program Manager
Position Status Non-Exempt , Part Time 20 Hours per Week

Position Summary:
Employee is responsible for receiving, sorting and distributing essential goods such as clothing and small household items. Annually distribute over 1200 items and serve over 400 families with clothing, and household goods. Promote EHP's values of

with particular emphasis on compassion, respect, integrity and teamwork.

Primary Responsibilities
1. Sort, organize and arrange distribution of clothing, and household goods.
2. Receive incoming clothing donations and ensure timely distribution of goods.
3. Maintain a clean and professional atmosphere of donated clothes and household items within the Clothes Closet, warehouse and trailers.
4. Establish service levels to clients based on inventory, communicate needs when appropriate.
5. Oversee distribution of clothing and household items and ensure that families are served appropriately.
6. Manage Clothes Closet volunteers ensuring that each client receives service with compassion, patience and sensitivity.
7. Maintain accurate record keeping.
8. Responsibility for training all volunteers, maintains volunteer schedules and acts as interface with staff and volunteers.
9. Other assigned tasks as directed.

Note: In addition to the primary duties, other duties (e.g. supervision of volunteers, program assistance) will be required. The job description shall not be construed as a contract and is not a complete list of all miscellaneous, incidental or other duties which may be assigned during normal operations. Overtime will be required during certain times of the year.


Required Skills/Experience
1. Organized and acquainted with inventory control standards and efficient distribution systems.
2. Able to work with wide variety of families with care and respect.
3. Experience and ability in supervising small and large groups of volunteers.
4. Able to lift 25 lbs.
5. Able to stand for long periods of time
6. Able to perform repetitive tasks

Salary: $15/hr
