Job Description

The Director, Talent Development & Talent and Leadership Programs

This role exists to drive the strategic definition, implementation and integration of best-in-class, cutting edge executive leadership development program for LexisNexis.

In partnership with senior leadership, the Talent Development group, Human Resources, and peer leaders across LexisNexis and Reed Elsevier, this position sets the development priorities and manages a consistent talent agenda that best meets strategic needs of the business. Processes within the scope of this position include:

Organizational Talent Review, Individual Development Plans, Leadership Development Programs (Babson, Emory), Hi-Potential Development Programs (Emerging Leaders), 360-degree feedback, Executive Assessment, New Leader Assimilation, Coaching/Mentoring, and program impact analysis against key drivers and metrics.

Accountabilities:

Company-wide alignment of Talent Development is a major strategic priority for Risk and this position within the TD Center of Excellence is the single point of accountability for delivering aligned and impactful talent and leadership development for all of Risk businesses. Specifically, the position must:

-This position develop talent and leadership development programs, processes, and learning strategy, functioning to align to business goals and objectives -Partners with HR and business leaders to advice and support them on talent effectiveness and leadership development initiatives

-Provides thought leadership, strategic direction and internal consulting on diverse organizational effectiveness initiatives like career development, organizational design, workforce planning, and change management -Builds and implements high impact programs (e.g., Emerging Leaders Program) that will help in identifying and developing the leadership bench

-Provide hands on support to executives in assessing the developmental needs of their emerging talent, crafting high impact development plans (e.g. formal training, key assignments, coaching) and overseeing progress. Periodically meets with senior leaders to monitor progress, adjust plans and meet development objectives

-Develops communication and change management plans to ensure leadership buy-in and effective adoption of new and improved talent development programs -Measures and reports the effectiveness of TD programs and works to improve the design, delivery methods and impact of programs

 

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications: -Masters degree is required, and other advanced certifications are highly desired. -7 years of related Human Resources is required with a minimum of 5+ years directly related to Talent Development -Highly developed leadership, implementation, organizational, interpersonal, communication and project management skills required -Experience creating, implementing, evaluating talent management programs -Strong analytical, written and verbal skills -Experience changing and/or altering processes in a highly matrix organization -Strong consulting experience excellent organizational and execution skills, ability to prioritize work, and initiative to introduce and improve processes -Ability to effectively lead in a globally distributed, matrix organization -Possess strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze data and surface compelling trends
