Summary:

CBT (Collaborative Brain Trust) is a growing consulting firm in the HR realm, specializing in creating training partnerships between corporations and community colleges/universities. CBT was founded in 2007 to focus on California Community College needs, and is quickly growing to assist universities and the corporate sector across the country to bridge the workforce and skills gaps, improve employee learning and training, address talent and leadership development issues, and create the next generation of skilled employees and business leaders through public/private partnerships.

Sales & Marketing Needs:

CBT is seeking an experienced sales and marketing manager who can assist with critical growth strategies and new business development by communicating with our target customers, promoting the vision and solutions of CBT to the higher education and corporate sectors, and working with our consultants to make sales calls and set up meetings.

This is a full-time position as an independent contractor for the first 12 months, with a base salary plus a guaranteed 1st quarter sales commission. The candidate can work from home anywhere in the U.S., but must be available to travel for meetings and conferences as needed. CBT is headquartered in Sacramento, CA.

Specific duties include:
• Developing a database of higher education and corporate contacts from CBT consultants, and from industry research.
• Identifying the appropriate contact person within each organization.
• Making warm and cold calls to set up meetings or conference calls with prospective clients and CBT consultants.
• Tracking the results of the meetings/calls, and identifying next steps to close the deal.
• Developing a marketing activities and communications calendar.
• Following leads from website visitors.
• Sending out marketing materials to prospective clients.
• Coordinating and managing the CBT LinkedIn and Facebook groups, and generating posts by CBT leadership and consultants.
• Responding to information requests from social media
• Developing and maintaining other social media marketing channels, such as blogs, webinars, etc.
• Sending out press releases to announce CBT clients, speaking engagements, and other news.
• Identifying appropriate higher education and corporate HR industry conferences for sponsorships and speaking opportunities.
• Coordinating and managing all other internal and external marketing communications tasks with CBT consultants, clients, and potential clients.
• Creating and maintaining a marketing budget
• Managing the supply of printed marketing collateral, and developing more collateral as needed

Experience required:
• Bachelor's degree
• 5 years+ sales and marketing experience with verified results
• Corporate marketing (internal /outside firm) or Higher education marketing (internal / outside firm)
• Human Resources learning and development knowledge
• C-level or senior management communications skills (speaking, writing)
• Direct sales, telemarketing
• Social media strategy, writing, content development
• Microsoft, Excel, Salesforce platform expertise
• Relentless sales professional with a courteous demeanor, team player, flexible and adaptable
• Proven ability to work independently with time management skills

Experience Preferred:
• Master's in business or marketing preferred
• Educational product sales and marketing
• Public Relations, external relations
