JOB DESCRIPTION:


The Manager of Business Analysis is responsible for ensuring business analysis and business process alignment is effective and responsive to the needs of the Company in support of strategic plans and company goals. 

The Manager will establish and implement standard guidelines and procedures for Business Analysis, lead a team of Business Analysts and collaborate with Information Technology and Business Unit Leaders to develop cross functional processes for the analysis portion of the Strategic Projects and prioritized system enhancements.

The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong comfort level with the purpose and value of Business Analysis as well as the ability to effectively communicate that value to the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
Managerial:
•Develop and implement business analysis methodologies and best practices which result in complete and accurate analysis that supports business processes or systems solutions that meet the needs of all stakeholders.
•Manage all activities and functions the BA team including the elicitation, documentation and analysis of business requirements, both functional and non-functional for software development projects and enhancements, the development of as-is and to-be business process models, requirements validation activities, including traceability and UAT, consensus building and requirements management.
•Review and evaluate work focusing on continuous improvement in processes and methods, ensure that documentation is maintained so processes accurately reflect system functionality.
•Execute performance reviews, performance coaching and ongoing career development activities for direct reports


Functional:

•Ensure that collaboration between the BA team, Information Technology/IT, Project Management and Business Units is effective and productive
•Act as an individual contributor through the elicitation, documentation and analysis of business rules, user/stakeholder requirements, and functional/nonfunctional requirements as applicable for larger/strategic projects, change requests, and department initiatives
•Validate requirements for new and/or changes to business processes, policies, and information systems as applicable for projects, change requests, and department initiatives.
•Facilitate, prioritize and recommend system enhancements.
•Ensure that user acceptance testing priorities are known by collaborating with business stakeholders and IT and that support for user acceptance testing is fulfilled. 

Preferred:
•Master’s degree
•Experience in business case development

·        Former experience as a Business Analyst

·        Relational Database concepts (which ones/how long?)

·        Describe any System Development Life Cycles / methodologies (Agile or others) to which you have been exposed

·        Requirements gathering (years experience and then answer these re: largest project)

       # of BA team members

       How long did project take
