Lead Filemaker Pro Developer Position with Optimum Performance Solutions, Inc. - Atlanta Georgia(Metro)
Position Overview
Optimum Performance Solutions, Inc.(OPS) develops and markets unique custom software and services for mobile devices and is currently seeking a skilled and talented Filemaker Pro Developer, who can work in a dynamic fast paced environment. The developer will work closely in a high performing team with a primary objective of product development and deployment.
Summary of Responsibilities
• Undertake analysis, design, programming and testing for the deployment of new systems and features.
• Provide support and unit testing for enhancements to existing features
• Produce design proposals for all new development projects
• Experience with data modeling, Entity-Relationship Diagrams and plan layout
• Working knowledge of FM server and running FM server scripts
• Diagnose defects and provide assessments of remedial action
• Develop relationships with clients to aid in full understanding of business requirements
• Understanding of OBDC and other protocols for database connectivity (SAP, Oracle knowledge)
• Assist with the configuration of host environments supporting the product
• Promote consistency, standardization and cross-training within the team
• Participate in planning/prioritization discussions as well as document management
• Participate in the presentation of completed features
• Work through all aspects of the development cycle to contribute to best practices, high quality design and development of software
• Demonstrate the ability to change focus quickly to support the needs of the client
• Participate in the processes and duties consistent with delivery of the above responsibilities
Summary of Qualifications
• Professional experience working in a software development environment
• Understanding and experience of software development life cycle and project management methodology
• Strong technical design skills and proficient in the following: FileMaker, FileMaker Pro, XML and relational database design
• Experience & Strength in the following: mobile device applications, interactive solutions and learning management systems
• Demonstrates a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving
• Effective communicator both orally and in writing
• Aptitude for participating within a team (social development, pair programming, code review)
• Must be a Certified FileMaker Developer
• Certified Apple Trainer(strongly desired)
• iBook Author experience a plus
