[KITlist] Senior Business Analyst (San Francisco, CA)

The Sage Group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst who is passionate about driving strategic and operational improvements through business analysis and product planning for one of our San Francisco healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will have experience with the development of detailed product requirements, maintaining product backlogs, analyzing online metrics in a fast paced and matrixed environment.

Responsibilities Include:

- Serve as primary Online and Mobile liaison between Business stakeholders and Engineering.

- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information and distinguish user request from the underlying true needs.

- Author agile stories for portal backlogs in partnership with product and portal owners.

- Translate gathered business requirements into detailed functional designs and workflows for consumption by delivery partners such as Engineering and Design teams.

- Analyze interdependencies across initiatives, systems and interrelated functionality.

- Investigate competitive landscape trends for online products and monitor trends in healthcare, web and analytics impacting current and future product features/functions.

- Develop and execute UAT cases, log defects and validate fixes during the SDLC.

- Develop training materials and conduct user orientation and training on online & mobile capabilities.


Skills Required:

- 6-10 years' business analysis experience, very strong analysis and online background with demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving skills.

- Intimate understanding of complex web ecosystems and best practices with ability to apply this knowledge.

- Able to rapidly ramp-up, be nimble, and quickly form productive and positive working relationships with Business and Engineering partners.

- Aptitude for skillfully translating data analysis into business recommendations.

- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to clearly present data, context, and implications to senior business partners.

- Analytical and detail-oriented mind-set with an eye for details.

- Outstanding team player with a client partnership mindset to interact effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues.

- Knowledgeable on technical data analysis, functional design, and multiple SDLC methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, RUF, Kanban)


- Undergraduate degree a must. MBA or Masters in Business or an Engineering discipline preferred.

- Strong project management skills including the ability to define the project scope, establish a timeline, coordinate resources, communicate status, and manage the delivery of results.

- Experience with large online consumer facing sites a plus.
