The Oshman Family Jewish Community Center (OFJCC) on the Taube Koret Campus for Jewish Life serves the South Peninsula through educational, social, cultural, fitness, sports and other wellness programs. The OFJCC aspires to be a multi-generational Jewish neighborhood where all are welcome and which fosters new personal and community connections through rich and rewarding experiences. About OFJCC Marketing:
The Marketing Department serves all other departments at the OFJCC, providing consistently branded collateral, media outreach for JCC initiatives and events, an engaging presence on social media, a dynamic and current website, targeted email marketing, promotions and much more. It is the Marketing Department�s responsibility to ensure that the OFJCC is recognized in the community as a Jewish neighborhood where all are welcome, and to make sure that all programs are successful, whether promoting a rock concert for adults, summer camps, a day of community service for families, and everything in between.

Overview of the Role:
The OFJCC seeks a candidate with 5+ years of public relations and marketing experience who will write press releases, compose e-newsletters, solicit advertisers, write copy for ads and collateral, edit copy for a wide array of marketing collateral, edit and maintain a Google AdWords account, update social media sites, and much more. Excellent communication skills are a must as this job requires extensive interaction across all JCC departments and with local media outlets. The successful candidate must do well in a team atmosphere, be proactive and work independently in a fun and fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:
Publicity Communications
� Strategic and day-to-day management for communication and publicity programs, press and messaging.
� Promote JCC programs though press releases, PSAs, online and printed calendar listings.
� Drive positive coverage in the local and Jewish press through press releases and established contacts.
� Produce weekly and monthly email newsletters.
� Write blog content promoting OFJCC programs, people and values.
� Actively promote OFJCC programs, events and values through full use of social media.
� Manage posting of on-campus marketing materials to promote upcoming events.

Marketing
� Write and/or edit marketing collateral including catalogs, ad copy, flyers, posters and web content.
� Help collect, edit and manage photos and video of all OFJCC programs.
� Assist in the execution of promotional events and activities.
� Communicate across all OFJCC Departments.
� Work with graphic designers in the production of marketing collateral.
� Maintain and update Google AdWords accounts for maximum visibility.
� Assist with website development and maintenance including SEO best practices.
� Maintain the overall JCC brand, including brand promise, brand statements, look, feel and voice.

Skills Required/Desired:
� Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading and verbal skills with strong attention to detail.
� Proven experience developing and pitching trend and feature stories.
� Strong media relations skills and experience working with online and traditional media.
� Proven experience managing Google AdWords campaigns adhering to SEO best practices.
� Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced atmosphere.
� Demonstrated creative and innovative thinking.
� Keen understanding of branding and the ability to create compelling messaging.
� Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
� Experience with Adobe Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop highly desirable.
� Knowledge of email marketing software.
� Good photography video skills.
� Strong interpersonal, facilitation and diplomacy skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
� Ability to problem solve, take initiative, set priorities, handle multiple projects and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced, dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
� Experience developing and managing marketing program metrics.
� Ability to work occasional weekends and evenings.

Qualifications:
� BA in journalism, liberal arts, communications or marketing.
� 5 years of public relations and marketing experience.

Work Schedule:
Full time M-F with occasional required weekends or evenings for various programs events.
