Job Description; SDN, networking and Java Architect/programmer
Huawei has become an industry leader in fixed and mobile networks. SDN is reshaping future of
networking and is moving strongly in toward a model of providing the desired flexibility,
programmability and manageability of the networks. In response to a growing demand from our
customers, Huawei has started a research and development effort focus on providing a scalable,
SDN enabled network OS, capable of serving the needs of tier I service providers and enterprise,
to support the next generation cloud services.
Huawei’s SDN platform is a key building block in Huawei’s data center & carrier product
portfolio. The SDN program targets to provide a scalable network platform supporting
nortbound and southbound SDN APIs providing capabilities to support applications and devices.
Responsibilities:
Huawei is seeking an experienced engineering professional with a proven track record for
delivering product or prototypes to a schedule. Responsibilities:
* Define the requirements for SDN API’s and network management
* Segment the architecture into a set of activities that serve the program objectives
* Develop the key capabilities that are required for the project.
* Contribute to the on time delivery for engineering activities on the program
* Aid in the selection of open source capabilities & technology partners
* Provide requirements for setting up the development for the SDN laboratory
* Participate in the community and be an evangelist for SDN activities
Qualifications
A successful candidate for this position will have the following qualifications:
* A minimum of ten years experience as a computer engineer/scientist working on the
research and design of large software (e.g., data centers), networking software
development experience preferred.
* Must have experience in Java, open source development process and tools, for example,
Github, Gerrit, and Maven. Familiarity of networking technologies preferred.
* Must have experience in products or systems to support cloud based services
* Experience working with customers to define product requirements
* A proven track delivering software systems to a predefined schedule
* Good communication skills and able to coordinating cross functional teams
