Payroll Specialist

The Payroll Specialist is a new addition to the team and will play a critical role in our payroll processing function. You will perform all activities necessary to process the company's domestic semimonthly and international monthly payroll, commissions and bonus and prepare special reports for management. This is a full-time position located at HQ in San Jose and reports to the Assistant Controller.

Responsibilities:

Process semi-monthly domestic payroll for 150+ multi-state employees through ADP Workforce Now

Process monthly international payroll for 50+ employees in ten countries by communicating with international payroll agencies

Prepare and enter payroll journal entries into NetSuite

Prepare and reconcile monthly payroll accruals (PTO, commissions, bonus, etc.)

Reconcile payroll related Balance Sheet Accounts

Respond to various payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner

Develop and maintain payroll manual to assure instructions and procedures are updated

Liaise with HR to manage employee records and various employment events

Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed

Support annual audit by preparing payroll related PBC schedules

Requirements:

At least 3-5 years of multi-state payroll experience

Solid understanding of payroll, taxes, benefits, systems, and processes

ADP experience preferred

Medium-size company experience

Intermediate knowledge of Excel

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
