Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Business Analytics Project Manager to support the Global Customer Success team at our technology client in San Jose, CA. The Global Customer Success team is responsible for taking a broad view on market opportunity and identifying key areas of growth for the company.
The Business Analytics Project Manager is focused on customer data collection and analysis. This role is responsible for identifying the appropriate customer data needed to understand how products and services are being adopted today. The Global Customer Success team would like the Business Analytics Project Manager to lead the team in the evaluation process of different software platforms or tools that can assist be utilized for the purpose of with the customer data collection. This role will also help the team decide which customer data is needed now, six months from now, and twelve months from now to provide visibility to market opportunity. The goal is to create awareness around profitable data-based insights into customer behaviors that can be shared with the sales team for greater business results.
Specific responsibilities:
Assess the business landscape (e.g. document how services and solutions are being adopted by customers today) and apply an implementation process for responding to the customer data identified
Identify requirements for the adoption of a new software technology platform that will evaluate required customer data (e.g. what to measure, identify business dependencies and challenges)
Conduct a thorough internal stakeholder analysis, compile and finalize functional requirements
Development, maintenance and communication of detailed project plan using Microsoft Project or similar project management tool
Communicate regular/ongoing status reports to client
Guide the team through the process of making business refinements to accelerate software and services adoption and renewals
Skills:
7-10 years' experience of I.T./software-related project management experience in a finance, engineering, IT, or operations department in an enterprise organization
Strong grasp of data analytics
Must be comfortable with proactive outreach to other teams for customer data collection
Must be an experienced project manager who can lead meetings with senior level people from stakeholder teams
This role is not technical; no engineering background is required; however, you must be able to evaluate and recommend technology platforms/solutions for the value they bring to the business
This role is similar to a systems implementation project manager role. Experience with Waterfall, Agile, Scrum or similar iterative methodologies strongly preferred.
Mature and concise communications style is required, verbal and written
A detailed, analytical thought process is required; your opinions grounded in data are strongly encouraged
Patience when working with diverse personalities and potentially competing business goals between teams is required
Tactful and respectful problem solving at all stages of the process will help accelerate your value to the team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
B.S. or higher in Applied Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field required
PMP Certification strongly preferred
RATE: D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group
LOCATION: 4 days onsite at clients' office in San Jose, CA; 1 day remote/telecommute/virtual. No phone calls, please. Local SF Bay Area candidates only.
HOURS/DURATION: FT, ongoing – renewable quarterly.
