The Sage Group is looking for a Market Intelligence Analyst to work with our client, a market leader in the virtualization arena. This person will be responsible for providing actionable insights into market opportunity and trends, market pressures and threats, customer intelligence including audience persona, buyer behavior and channel preferences. This person will be expected to have strong knowledge of our client's markets and have the ability to deep dive in data analysis to develop recommendation on strategies including market segmentation, targeting, and business priorities.
Responsibilities Include:
Analyze market data, and provide insights to Business Units, Global Marketing, Regional Sales and Marketing, and other cross functional teams to drive expansion of our client's adoption in all segments and audiences
Analyze financial, market and customer data for strategy development
Understand buyer behavior/characteristics and industry influencers, through synthesis of market intelligence
Create buyer persona profiles for all products/services.
Track market trends and competitive moves to take ongoing pulse of the market and make strategic recommendation, both short-term and long-term.
Develop and lead research to provide insights on emerging customer needs and industry gaps
Interpret and communicate market intelligence findings, and make recommendations based on those findings, across all relevant organizations
Collaborate with stakeholder teams to validate/develop insights and recommendations
Work with internal teams to identify market intelligence/research needs and develop and prioritize research plans and methodology
Manage multiple projects with focus on timeline and cost, including vendor research projects from inception to conclusion (RFP processes, recommending appropriate methodologies, vendor relationships to produce reports that meet desired objectives)
Skills Required:
7+ Years of marketing intelligence/research or similar consulting role
Experienced subject matter expert in the IT industry with strong sense of market and audience segmentation
Analytical skills with strategic mindset; proven ability to analyze and synthesize marketing insight and data to deliver strategic recommendations
Excellent project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally
Effective verbal and written communication skills; great data visualization and presentation skills to provide recommendations based on insight
Start: ASAP
Timing: 6+ months, 40 hrs/week
Location: Palo Alto, with some offsite work
