Position title: Channel Manager
Location: Mountain View/Palo Alto area
Position description:
This is a very high-level, highly-visible and strategic Channel Manager role. The focus will be on working with one specific partner to engage and help to drive joint sales opportunities and incremental revenue. The qualified candidate will need to be comfortable with a start-up environment where personal performance is critical and will have the flexibility and determination to participate in any activity to ensure success. We are looking for someone with channel partner experience that can bring their enthusiasm, expertise and innovation to our company.
Position duties and responsibilities:
•Evolution and execution of a partnership with one specific and strategic vendor
•Develop business plan including marketing strategies, lead generation plans and sales goals with vendor counterpart
•Support the sales team in deal cycles, local presence may be required
•Work with both companies marketing teams to collaborate on awareness and lead generation initiatives
•Drive and close pipeline on a monthly basis, ensuring high forecast accuracy
•Provide ongoing education/information to the channel partner sales team and keep them up to date on product, sales tools etc.
•Work closely with the company Customer Success Manager to ensure customers are successful and signing up as reference customers
•Act as a liaison between the vendor's product management and that of the company to ensure alignment on roadmap and drive future enhancements for the partner's solution
Required skills and experience:
•Proven track record in software sales or technology sales- financial application sales preferred.
•Candidate must be able to work with channel partners to analyze, assess and build business plans to drive new subscription revenue and partner implementation services.
•Work in a cross-functional team with channel, sales, marketing, professional services, and support
•Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Equally comfortable in live and remote customer meetings
•Experience selling to CFO's, senior finance, accounting and IT professionals
•Comfort with business planning, budgeting and analysis and articulating the associated value proposition is essential
•Bachelor degree or higher
