Envision Technology Marketing Group, Inc. (ETMG) is currently looking for an experienced Localization Manager for our client company in Silicon Valley. The Localization Manager will work with internal customers to deliver global digital content. This role requires working with localization vendors, stakeholders and development teams across the organization. You will help define scope, requirements and timelines as well as lead cross functional teams throughout projects. This position involves regular communication with management on roadmaps, progress, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management and communication skills are essential. We are looking for passionate and driven candidate who will further enhance and support of company's vision globally.
Responsibilities:
•Help to lead effort to engage product business groups, corporate marketing and regional field teams in defining company's globalization marketing offerings programs
•Help with vendor strategy, relationship and management to ensure localization delivery
•Ensure alignment and cooperation between web-publishing personnel and in-country marketing stakeholders as well as localization vendors and production managers
•Help manage localization tools, computer-assisted translation tools, terminology databases
•Help localization lead to create initiatives to improve translation quality, vendor strategy and processes
•Work with product teams to ensure localizability best practices are followed to minimize downstream issues and decrease cost and time-to-market for localized versions.
•Engage and build relationship with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure localization requirements are implemented and localization process is well understood.
•Create and execute on the localization schedule. Working with vendors to ensure all assignments are understood, timelines are followed, and deliveries completed correctly and on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
•A Bachelor's degree in languages, translation and/or a relevant technical field or experience
•Minimum 5 years of work experience in localization and digital marketing content
•Experience with localization platforms, file formats and CAT tools
•Ability to work with cross-functionally and communicate well.
•Culturally sensitive and the ability to work well with a diverse team
•Ability to stay focused under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
•Able to successfully manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
•Attention to detail; takes pride in work; and aspires to maintain continual personal and professional growth
•Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
•Must be flexible to work various time zones when needed
•Multi-lingual a plus
