Crawford Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is seeking a Content and Speaker Manager (1009) for a project based assignment with one of our high tech clients in San Francisco, CA. The Content and Speaker Manager will provide support until the client's conference in the beginning of October 2016 and continue on through the conference's postmortem phase, ending mid-October to late October.
The ideal candidate has experience in implementing customer content management programs for technology events. The Content and Speaker Manager must have the ability to manage to a set strategy and timeline in addition to managing the overall content and speaker components. Most importantly, the candidate must be able to work with diverse personalities and have the ability to lead discussions in a large group setting of cross functional team members.
Responsibilities:
Act as content and speaker manager on overall track and session development.
Manage space grid and provide track/session management and communications planning for speakers.
Create content timeline space grid that maps to key milestones including registration launch date, scheduler launch date, and agenda builder launch date, etc.
Drive delivery of final track titles, descriptions, persona tagging and product alignments to tracks as well as the following:
Interface with Operations Manager and Registration Vendor to outline requirements for content management portal and speaker resource center, leveraging existing infrastructures to streamline efficiencies.
Work with Operations Manager, Registration Vendor and Breakout Session Manager to identify improvements required for Session Catalog and Scheduler.
Assign sessions to appropriate time slots with the collaboration of the content managers to minimize overlapping content and speakers during specified times, includes online scheduling to publish to the online and mobile Scheduler
Create and execute all speaker communications including ongoing as needed speaker meetings and emails.
Interface with Marcom Manager to create session survey questions to create online speaker surveys for distribution as part of our post-event thank you email communication. Create and test the session surveys through approved system. Test surveys through the mobile app.
Work with Event Program owner on ensuring the speaker journey is one where they feel appreciated and supported.
Work with breakout leader on speaker trainings (where needed), graphics support and on-site speaker room requirements and rehearsal sessions.
Skills:
2-4 years of event content management experience, supporting and executing events and/or conferences
Experience driving project coordination between content teams and web teams to deliver event agendas
Experience coordinating speaker assets, including tracking prospective speaker inquires and tracking submission forms with content team preferred but not required
An understanding and use of on-line speaker resource tools preferred (such as Hubb)
Experience supporting Sr. Events personnel with online and email marketing specific to agenda launch
Experience with onsite management: i.e, tracking session classrooms, speaker prep, volunteers, recording crews, hotel room blocks, and any additional venue orders
Nimble and flexible, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently and problem solve on the fly
Bachelor's Degree with Marketing, Business Administration or similar required
RATE: D.O.E., as W-2 employee of Crawford Group; benefits available
LOCATION: 1-2 days/week onsite at clients' office in San Francisco, CA, remainder offsite/virtual/WFH/telecommute. Local, S.F. Bay area applicants only, please. No phone calls.
