Marketing DAM Capabilities
Our financial services client in San Francisco, CA seeks to develop and implement an Enterprise-level Digital Asset Management (DAM) capability. The future state capability is intended to support content development, curation, and publishing, as well as improved risk management and marketing operations efficiency and agility.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success and developing and implementing Enterprise-level marketing operations technology systems, ideally with DAM strategies, processes, and tools. As a change agent, the candidate will be the face of DAM for our client, acting as the lead proponent for DAM capabilities and processes.
In helping to define strategic direction in marketing DAM, the individual will:
Partner with key Business, Technology and Enterprise Data Analytics leaders and cross functional stakeholders to lead development of the DAM capability vision, guiding principles, prioritized use cases/end user experiences (based on impact and commonalities), high-level requirements and roadmap:
Accountable and have a hands on role in the day to day of the initiative with their business, tech and vendor peers.
Own the interface to executive business sponsorship and ultimately be the face to the enterprise from a governance perspective over the domain.
Work marketing execution and other business and technology partners to be sure the platform is optimized to meet business needs.
Lead development and socialization of strategic solutions and approach options, including vendor assessment, cost-benefit analysis, opportunity sizing's, and critical success factors and consideration for tangential in-flight and strategic efforts
Identify internal one-time and ongoing DAM team/resourcing needs and negotiate funding and acquisition through responsible teams
Partner with key stakeholders and Supply Chain to finalize vendor selection and negotiate vendor contracts
Facilitate strategic decisions and creation of tactical plan surrounding development and implementation of target state processes and technology roadmap (including relevant business readiness and change management considerations as well as integration with or migration of existing/enhanced processes and tools) o Develop and maintain a metadata entry protocol. Work with various stakeholders across the enterprise to define metadata and taxonomy guidelines. Actively promote data consistency to support common standards and analytics.
Establish periodic data verification review processes to ensure data accuracy and to support easy and consistent search and delivery of assets.
Drive execution of tactical plan across core business and technology workstreams and in partnership with relevant lines of business
Provide subject matter expertise relevant to the evaluation and approach for DAM solutions
Develop and work with Technology, LOB and functional partners on implementation roadmap for rollout of DAM platform, inclusive of change management and training
Work with Marketing Execution and technology teams to define and establish the on-going system admin support organization, including the following:
Overall governance/process management for the DAM system including RACI model
Monitor system and report on issues that impact performance and system availability.
Develop, configure and maintain digital asset workflow processes to support creative development, ingestion, sharing and distribution.
Ongoing training and support
Super user model and user forums
Once the processes and tools are established, the DAM Capability Manager will:
Ensure that cross-functional and cross line of business stakeholders allocate time and priority to activities associated with subsequent capability planning/development/implementation for DAM processes and technologies
On an ongoing basis, identify and acquire enabling technologies and direct the integration with other platforms as those platforms mature
Work with stakeholders to document, measure and socialize the business value added via DAM processes and platforms
In partnership with business sponsors, socialize capabilities with new and potential users; play a leadership role in user adoption and change management
Drive organization surrounding readiness and change adoption for business users
Identify ways to operationalize use of the platform to improve efficiency or effectiveness
Stay current and connected with industry trends, new technologies and opportunities
Lead an ongoing strategic DAM roadmap process, identifying unmet needs and work with stakeholder teams to define and prioritize ways to meet those needs
Qualifications
10+ years' experience in one or a combination of the following: DAM business strategy and platform management; marketing operations technology, process strategy and management; DAM vendor solution leadership or consulting services.
10+ years' experience in marketing or creative services technology operations, including interaction with relevant DAM or marketing operations technology capabilities and leading the development and implementation of marketing processes and the technologies that support these processes
Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving and visionary contributions in marketing operations strategy, integration and management
Experience on the client or vendor side in at least one significant and successful implementation of capabilities related to DAM. Experience with workflow management, metadata and taxonomy development and process optimization, version control management and archiving
Ability to lead and drive Enterprise-level strategic projects through cross-functional and crossLOB stakeholder teams, including ability to effectively communicate and socialize vision and approach across business and technology and addressing relevant change management needs
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience successfully leading development and implementation of Marketing technology capabilities and integrations to create "end to end" marketing operations experiences
Strong familiarity with DAM and other Marketing Technology tools and the vendor landscape
