6 Months Contract To Hire
Summary: The SAS Administrator will responsible for providing SAS technical support to end users and implementing new SAS technical solutions.
Required Qualifications:
The SAS Administrator will responsible for providing SAS technical support to end users and implementing new SAS technical solutions.
3 years or more years of experience with SAS product Suite 9x, including Enterprise Guide, PC SAS, SAS STAT, SAS Graph, SAS Connect, SAS Access products
Familiarity with the DBMS (Teradata, Greenplum, Oracle, etc.), systems and SQL.
Provide SAS administration technical support for issues reported to SAS platform team.
Own and drive the SAS product patching and release upgrade activity.
Provide testing support for SAS products during deployment, upgrade and any changes to SAS products and/or during other enterprise activities that impact SAS infrastructure.
Manage and track SAS products inventory and license updates for SAS servers and end user desktops.
Strong analytical, communication, technical teamwork and interpersonal skills are mandatory.
Knowledge of SAS architecture and operational workings.
Ability to research and recommend technical designs and architectures to support requirements.
Responsibilities:
Become a key contributor in understanding and interpreting sources of data as it pertains to Client business
Apply generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation
Work as a team player with solid communication and presentation skills and help interpret technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting systems and software
Analyze and participate in reviews of software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Develop or provide work estimates based on analysis of requirements
Consult with product teams concerning new features and maintenance of system
Communicate regularly on progress of work products, deliverables, and overall project status
Keep up to date with technology and present useful technology recommendations
Communicate regularly or as needed with customers on progress of work products, deliverables, and overall project status
Consult with system engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system
