In this position, the individual will direct a comprehensive product strategy from product conception and definition through end of life. Functions as a binding resource with design, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing and operations as the product(s) move through their lifecycle. Directs those involved in the development and qualification of all SanDisk's products offering. Formulates and executes short-term plans for product cost optimization as well as longer term Silicon and product planning. Promotes use of best practices and industry-leading trends driving process improvements across the company. Develops product memory transition planning and execution, and new product introduction through cross-functional collaboration. Coordination of prototype builds, supply chain readiness, BOM management (Agile PLC), production and ramp and material readiness. Initiate and manage multiple projects simultaneously and interact with many different groups and levels. Oversee a 40-person team responsible coordination of new product development schedules, production plans, BOM (Agile PLC) and ERP (SAP) activity and inventory management and product level cost reductions. Commitment to do everything possible to ensure the team's success as well as the flexibility to quickly re-direct efforts based on new information.
