Client Software is currently seeking an Advisory Software Engineer.

This candidate will serve on a distributed team developing the premier data quality solution for PBBI. This solution is supported on multiple platforms and delivered as both a SaaS and on-premise solution. The right candidate will be an integral part of a world-class team driving our continued growth. This position will be located in our Austin, Texas office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Writing great code.
Leading complex design and development efforts.
Assisting your team in estimating effort of development work and then meeting those commitments.
Improve the product(s) by leading design and code reviews.
Identifying risks and solutions.
Knowing your team and building constructive working relationships, both within the product teams and with cross-functional staff.
Required Qualifications:
Passion to develop great products.
Experience programming in Java
Knowledge of object-oriented programming and design.
Additionally, knowledge of IOC (spring source libraries, etc.), multi-threaded programming, and concurrent libraries.
Basic working knowledge of operating systems (including Windows, Linux, and other flavors of Unix), and hardware capabilities, build systems, and source code repositories required.
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
5-10 years of related experience in a software development capacity
Nice-to-have Qualifications:
Experience programming primarily in Java, but additionally, knowledge of C# is helpful too.
Knowledge of web service development (SOAP and/or REST), design patterns, distributed computing, message based systems (JMS, etc.), JNI, O/R mapping, Maven build system, and Aspect Oriented Programming, and service oriented platform development.
Experience with Agile methodologies and concepts, including Scrum, continuous integration, and automated testing.
