Position Summary:
RSF Social Finance seeks to hire a full-time Analyst, Credit & Portfolio Management with strong interest in social finance and/or impact investing to work as part of RSF's Social Enterprise Lending Team to monitor a portfolio of commercial loans to for-profit and non-profit organizations (social enterprises). Specifically, this position monitors borrower compliance with financial and reporting covenants and performs financial analysis and underwriting for commercial loans, including extensions and rollovers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Portfolio Management:
• Review borrowing base certificates and disbursement requests for accuracy and compliance with loan terms.
• Monitor borrower financial performance and conduct loan review based on regular financial reporting submitted by existing clients.
• Ensure borrower compliance with financial and reporting covenants; escalate as needed.
• Prepare internal loan portfolio reports.
• Liaise with borrowers to obtain due-diligence information and discuss financial performance.
• Assist in the implementation of portfolio management tools and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Analysis/Underwriting:
• Prepare credit memoranda for loan extensions and rollovers.
• Conduct industry analysis to examine suitability of RSF borrowers.
• Collect due diligence items from borrowers as needed in the underwriting process.
• Perform initial financial analysis and research for new loan inquiries.
• Help establish and execute procedures and processes to support the underwriting function.

Other Duties:
• Participate in Social Enterprise Lending Team meetings.
• Provide excellent customer service to borrowers.
• Provide ad hoc project support to the Social Enterprise Lending team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Undergraduate degree required, preferably in Business Administration or Finance
• 2-5 years applicable professional work experience, preferably in the credit department of a commercial bank, credit union, or similar financial institution
• Experience working with both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations a plus
• Demonstrable intererest in social finance and/or impact investing
• Desire to make a social impact by supporting the work of social enterprises
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce initial credit memorandums for approval, articulate RSF's lending philosophy and loan products, and the ability to converse by telephone with potential and existing clients
• Fluency in oral and written English required
• Solid grasp of accounting and interpretation of financial statements
• Strong understanding of lending concepts and terms
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Solid grasp of asset and cash flow based credit analysis
• Loan underwriting and financial modeling a plus
• Effective use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required
• Must be able to use the Internet for research and information-gathering
• Experience using Salesforce a plus
• Ability to exercise good judgment and manage time effectively
• Ability to work independently, and as part of a team
• Ability to effectively interact with clients
• Proven ability and experience handling confidential client and staff information
• Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism
