Position Summary:
This position is responsible for designing and developing Technical product training for our employees and channel partners.

This opportunity is perfect for someone who wants to use their training content development skills and work with a broad spectrum of internal subject matter experts, from internal support teams to consulting specialists, to create focused technical content.

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for designing and developing technical product training courses for internal audiences (80%)

Design new course content by completing training needs analysis, audience analysis, and determine appropriate delivery methodology.

Develop new technical product training classes to design specifications.

Design updated course content by completing training needs analysis, and audience analysis..

Develop updated technical product training classes.

For instructor-led training, create pdfs of training manual, student and instructor.

Coordinate beta-teach activities with the technical trainers and update content based on beta-teach feedback.

Responsible for managing Subject Matter Experts who are assisting in the development of a technical product training class. (10%)

Coordinate/facilitate subject matter expert resources and working sessions to complete content development within schedule timelines

Assist technical training developers in resolving course development issues.

Responsible for delivering technical product training (10%)

Deliver technical product training instructor-led classes periodically to internal audiences.

Audit classes delivered by other technical trainers to ensure consistency and discover areas for improvement.

Note: The percentages of time noted above are current estimates and may change at any time depending on
the business needs of the company.

Other Responsibilities:
Responsible for upholding our Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Project management skills are essential for work with engineers, technical writers and editors, to ensure that timelines are met.

Technical expertise with MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint is required.

Desired: experience in the application of training materials to various deliver modes including instructor-led, self-paced labs, and remote instructor delivery environments.

Qualifications:
Bachelor�s degree in engineering, computer science, internetworking technology, education or technical training.

At least 4+ years of experience in instructional design/technical content development

At least 1 year of training delivery experience

Desired: At least 1 year of experience in the computer networking industry
