We are currently seeking a  Sales Manager  focused on Carriers and datacenter . Focused on the top  Service Providers target market, the position is located in Santa Clara County

Responsibilities: 
- Identify opportunities to       position  solutions for diverse datacenter applications in the       Service Provider market space. This includes CDN (content delivery       network) clouds, IaaS delivery services, program guide databases, and       other applications hosted on datacenters managed by the Service Providers.       
- Develop relationships with decision       makers of these companies. 
- Interact with Product Management and       Engineering to drive product requirements that satisfy these customers. 
- Propose       alliances and strategies that will advance the position of Spirent in this       segment. 
- Understand the       technology, customer challenges and partner with customers to deliver the       right solution. 
- Conduct presentations and coordinate       demos and preparation of proposals with the necessary resources. 
 
Desired Skills and Experience
    Requirements: 
Market: 
- 10 to 15 years of business development       or direct sales in the Computer or Telecommunications industry with at       least 5 years in cloud applications. 
- Proven experience in relationship building       and engagement of decision makers within top Service Providers. 
- Strong understanding of the       applications and markets for the cloud domain and use cases in the Service       Provider space. 
Technical: 
- Knowledge of datacenter network       architecture and market is mandatory. 
- Understanding of  virtualization       technologies. 
- Experience in Service Assurance, QoE,       Proactive Performance Monitoring and OSS systems is highly desired. 
- Ability to develop innovative solutions       that solve customer issues and have a short term ROI for the customer. 
Qualifications: 
- Demonstrated track record of superior       results and contribution to organizational growth. 
- Excellent communication and       analytical skills. 
- Strong interest in problem solving. 
- Able to explain and present       complex concepts and procedures clearly. 
- Self-motivated - able to work       independently. 
- Well organized - able to manage       multiple tasks simultaneously. 
- Able to travel       an appropriate level to adequately cover Spirent's customer base       (approximately 30-50% travel). 
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; or       MBA in Engineering; or equivalent experience.
