Job Summary

Robert Half is seeking a Compliance Supervisor to join the Strategic Accounts Compliance team. The team is responsible for designing, implementing and conducting Strategic Account compliance audit processes within the Strategic Accounts Department. The Compliance Analyst identifies, researches, reconciles and/or reports any deviations in MicroJ and MicroJ Plus based on terms prescribed in the Strategic Account Contracts.



Specific responsibilities include:

• Supervise and provide guidance, training and, performance feedback for Strategic Accounts Compliance team and provides services (in an individual contributor capacity) to support the functions of the Strategic Accounts Compliance team as described below.

• Responsible for maintenance and accuracy of department tracking spreadsheets and logs, including Compliance Weekly Matrix and any future documents.

• Attend and/or facilitate meetings on behalf of SA Compliance team or in the absence of Manager, SA Compliance.

• Assign compliance audit activities to Strategic Accounts Compliance team (including self), based on workload and production priorities;

• Ensure timely and proper identification, research, reconciliation and reporting of any deviations in applicable audit points based on contractual agreements.

• Escalate deviations to senior management for urgent follow-up, investigation and timely resolution, which includes:

��� Direct contact, when and where appropriate, with client representative(s) on behalf of Vice-Presidents, Enterprise Solutions and Executive Management,

��� Collaboration with client contacts on initial setup of audit measurement criteria and procedures,

��� Negotiating solutions with client contacts for resolving deviations from the client���s contract, and

��� Assist in development of ongoing status reports with audit results and corrective actions for the client���s review and, as directed by senior management, update formal written reports on compliance operations, progress and compliance levels to communicate audit results to senior management and make recommendations as appropriate to resolve discrepancies and prevent future deviations.

• Provide regular communication to immediate management. Assists in daily supervision of other staff members as needed.

• Provide detailed report analysis of Compliance concerns on escalated issues from Sr Management, SA VP���s, etc.

• Work with Compliance Manager in the design, implementation and coordination of Compliance processes within the Strategic Accounts department.

• Assist in ensuring that processes are properly communicated, documented, and aligned with corporate and departmental objectives and goals.

• Monitor effectiveness of processes and makes recommendations to close gaps as required.

• Assist Strategic Accounts Management with other duties or special projects as required or assigned.

Qualifications:

• BA degree or equivalent accounting/auditing work experience. Internal Auditing courses preferred.

• 5+ years��� of professional work experience in related fields, i.e.; Internal Audit and/or Compliance Auditor role in positions of increasing levels of responsibility.

• 2+ years��� audit experience.

• 1+ years��� of supervisory experience preferred.

• Previous contract analysis experience preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience required.

• Capable of managing many tasks and priorities.

• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Access, and Windows application.

• Advanced Word, Intermediate Excel required.

• Ability to use the web as research tool, ability to learn new software packages quickly and in-house systems as the business need arises.

• Knowledge of and/or experience with MicroJ and systems preferred.

• Ability to learn new software programs quickly.

• Proven organizational skills to maintain proper recordation of project status, files, work space.

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with both internal and external customers including presentations, email, meetings, and document creation.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, and other corporate groups/departments.

• Strong time management skills; demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and customer service orientation.

• Ability to demonstrate reliability and dependability with good attendance.

• Ability to read and interpret contracts to determine financial ramifications (revenue recognition and overall risk assessment), an ability to demonstrate an attentiveness to detail, identify discrepancies, conduct research, resolve discrepancies; obtain missing data, and draw conclusions.
