Marketing Communications Coordinator

Marketing Communications Coordinator Invitae is a public genetic information services company seeking a qualified marketing communications coordinator to assist with event execution and to project-manage a wide variety of marketing materials and projects for campaigns, launches, and other initiatives. The ideal candidate will work with marketing team members to track and record details of events and campaigns and projects; create and execute materials as needed; and partner with marketing communications team members to ensure that all projects are in the right place at the right time. This is an individual contributor position reporting to the marketing communications lead.

Responsibilities

• Act as project manager for marketing communications materials to ensure that all projects are recorded, tracked, approved, completed, and archived appropriately

• Provide logistical support for trade shows and events

• Execute a wide variety marketing communications materials and projects, including print pieces, emails, advertisements, posters, event materials, web copy, videos, and more

• Partner with program managers, product managers, and others to document campaign plans and deadlines

• Help develop and communicate processes for creating, reviewing, and distributing materials

• Track all campaign components to ensure plans are executed on deadline and within budget

• Work with full-time and part-time writers, editors, and graphic designers, as well as vendors, to execute projects

• Review documents and materials for grammar, tone, branding, corporate style, and design

• Proofread layouts for typos, production errors, overall design and branding; review changes made by graphic designer(s)

• Review and update presentations and other materials for branding guidelines, copywriting guidelines, etc.

• Help create and execute a content strategy aligned with commercial and corporate goals

• Help plan and execute advertising calendar, trade show materials, and other projects as needed

• Re-purpose materials for different audiences, vehicles, and regions

• Track, report, and analyze results; implement improvements based on analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor���s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field

• 4-6 years of experience in marketing communications or marketing operations, preferably in-house at a technology company (bonus for life sciences/healthcare)

• Excellent project management skills

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills

• Collaborative team player

• Deep understanding and proven experience coordinating integrated marketing communications programs

• Advanced/expert user of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

• Demonstrated experience with campaign launches (advertising, print and online, social media, digital marketing and print)

• Experience in life sciences/healthcare field preferred

• Experience with CRMs (Salesforce preferred), web content management systems, and marketing automation tools (Marketo, Act-on, etc.)
