Our client is an early stage start-up with a practical consumer product that anyone who purchases goods, will want to utilize to save money with retailers. This is a very common sense, mobile only product. Both current founders have strong track records of startup success.
Their ideal candidate will be looking to join this team as a founding member, will help set the culture tone for the company and have a passion for building products that help everyone put money back into their pockets.
This position requires a person with startup experience, win, or lose, especially mobile consumer products. Very hands on, with strength in modern mobile stack, expert on back-end and "good enough" across the full-stack. Having built a product for high volume of users, handled the issues of scalability and performance is important.
Has the ability to push through failures or successes. Will take the ups and downs of startup life with a sense of humor and positive attitude. This position be hiring engineering talent, act as the point of technical guidance and set the standard for performance. Will build engineering competency for rapid product improvements based on consumer feedback and testing. Create an engineering culture that welcomes expert guidance from product and design people/team.
The founders are looking for someone who will help them build a culture of fun, with hard work, laugher with the tears and, in general, seen by others as a delightful place to work. Mutual respect for all team members is a must!
The team will be located San Mateo, CA offices; telecommuting is not an option for this. Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to working in the U.S. without assistance from employer. They are not able at this time to provide assistance. This is equity only for the first 90+ days opportunity.
