Oracle Forms and Report Developer

THE POSITION DUTIES INCLUDE:
• Maintain existing Oracle Forms and Reports applications
• Work on production support and trouble shoot production issues.
• Develop SQL, PL/SQL scripts for data analysis and data cleanup as needed.
• Work with other Software Engineers in identifying and resolving application issues.
• Work with Project Managers to provide estimate of effort for work and progress of work
• Work with Business Analysts and business users to understand problems, enhancements and data changes requested.
• Work with Quality Assurance and Release Coordinator to transition changes made from development to system test and to production.
• Use incident tracking system JIRA to document changes made and progress
• Use software version control Mercurial to track code changes.
• Attend status meetings as required
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Required skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent (minimum 3 years experience in Information Technology)
• Minimum 3 years experience in Web deployed Oracle Forms and Reports development
• Minimum 3 years experience using Oracle databases
• Minimum 3 years experience in writing PL/SQL
• Minimum 3 years experience using software development methodologies to perform analysis, design, construction and implementation of custom software
Preferred skills:
• Experience using Agile methodology is a plus
• Experience designing systems around the use of automated workflow, document imaging, and custom business applications is a plus
• Experience in the Financial/Retirement sector, including administration of retirement systems and/or health insurance is a plus
• Proven ability to multi-task on concurrent projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Participation in education will be considered a plus
