The Role: Vice President, Sales & Business Development
The Location: N.E. Ft. Worth
Sun Water Systems is an emerging growth company in the $3 billion water filtration market. Our award-winning products are highly regarded for our selective water filtration process ¨C keep the nutrients in, take the contaminants out ¨C while priced at a great value for consumers. We hold a market-leading position in our direct-to-consumer business and seek to develop additional channels that complement the direct business and drive growth. These growth plans have prompted us to hire a Vice President - Sales & Business Development to formulate our go-to-market strategy and lead those sales efforts, in complement to our core direct channel.
Reporting to the CEO, this Vice President will be responsible for both developing and implementing our strategy to expand distribution into new channels as well as incubating new business development initiatives. Growth from expanded distribution will result from targeted resourcing of efforts that deliver sales from prioritized vertical markets. Business development initiatives may include new products, applications of current products, and/or geographic regions. In essence, the role requires one to identify target opportunities, create a business model that works for all entities - validated through business analysis and pilot programs - and ultimately drive both profitable revenue growth and awareness for Sun Water Systems¡¯ brands in the marketplace.
Your Required Skills & Qualifications:
¡ñ You have a Bachelor¡¯s Degree from a respected college or university; an MBA is desirable
¡ñ You have ten or more years in the relevant end-user markets with at least three years focused in a business development/sales role where you demonstrated success meeting and/or exceeding performance objectives
¡ñ You have experience developing and implementing a multi-channel sales strategy that resulted in significant growth for your organization; experience in channels related to consumer products preferred
¡ñ You have the ability to lead high performance teams to achieve objectives
¡ñ You have the strategic agility to understand the commercial landscape and identify the highest impact sales verticals and partnership opportunities
¡ñ You possess the financial acumen to prioritize potential opportunities and develop business models that make sense for all partnership entities
¡ñ You have successfully built a brand with consumers by developing a sales presence in retail or specific wholesale markets
¡ñ You have a strong business acumen with an ability to communicate and negotiate effectively
¡ñ You have the ability to travel extensively (up to 50%)
