We are looking for a VP of Cloud Infrastructure and Solutions Marketing for a full time role with our fast growing global telecommunications and network solutions client. Our client is rapidly moving into the cloud infrastructure, platform and application space and needs a strong leader for the newly established Solutions Marketing team. The VP of Solutions Marketing team will report into executive level management of the client.
The Solution Marketing team is part of the client's corporate marketing team and is responsible for establishing the global cloud solution roadmap and solutions' definition, based upon customer needs analysis, market trends, technology developments and internal and partner capabilities.
Responsibilities:
•Set the direction, charter and role for the Solutions Marketing team
•Manage a team of approximately 30 people
•Responsible for corporate-level Cloud Solution's strategy and roadmap in the following areas:
oCloud computing data center infrastructure such as Virtualization and Automation of computing, storage system and networking, network virtualization and management, distributed parallel computing frameworks and cloud computing data center facility, etc.
oVertical applications and software platform based on cloud computing such as content delivery network, virtual desktop and network storage, etc.
oCloud-relevant services, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, BPaaS business consulting and professional services.
•Define internal investments required in the areas of cloud infrastructure, platform, application and service solutions. Define required partnerships.
•Lead communications with worldwide customers to understand and collect their strategy and requirements in the evolution to cloud computing business and infrastructure, analyze short/medium/long-term customer needs and industry trends to develop solution roadmap.
•Understand competitive landscape and cloud solution ecosystem.
•Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams for solutions and product development and introductions.
Requirements:
•More than 15 years direct experience in enterprise datacenter and telecommunication industry with a proven track record within successful telecommunication equipment vendor, cloud solutions provider or virtualization solutions vendor.
•Broad knowledge in the enterprise and telecom data center infrastructure, with special emphasis on cloud computing technologies, such as CPU / Hypervisor / storage / network / virtualization / automation / WEB2.0 / SDP / SOA in-depth understanding of the industry evolution and trend.
•Solid understanding of enterprise and telecom data center equipment market and business issues. Integrated product and solution development experience with world class operators preferred.
•Deep market and technology knowledge to evaluate and articulate business opportunities.
•Bachelor degree in a technical discipline; Masters degree preferred.
•Excellent cooperation skills with a wide variety of people, including but not limited to, engineering, marketing, R&D and standardization.
•Good oral and written communication, interpersonal skills and fluency in English.
•Approximately 40-50% travel to client's office locations and customer visits
