CIBER's continuously expanding SAP practice has a need for an experienced SAP Basis professional with the technical expertise and consulting skills required to successfully guide our customers through the design, build, and deployment of world-class SAP environments. The successful candidate must be able to design and implement complex SAP solution landscapes in a fast-paced customer facing environment.
This is a nationwide, SAP Practice opening so you can live anywhere in the U.S. but must be willing to travel to our project sites weekly.
Position Description:
• Lead and assist with all SAP Basis implementation and administration activities.
• Installation of SAP software, database software, kernel patches, SAP note corrections, Support Packs, and Enhancement Packs.
• Develop SAP system architecture including hardware sizing, capacity planning, client strategy, and transport management strategy.
• System monitoring, troubleshooting of technical issues, performance tuning, database and client copies, and general project team support.
• Technical configuration and administration of printers, background jobs, RFC's, system profile parameters, backups and restores, and database.
• Work with project management and project team to develop resource requirements, incorporate technical tasks in the overall project plan, and define/manage technical scope.
Required Skills:
• Minimum of 5 years of SAP Basis experience with at least 2 full life cycle implementations.
• Proficient with SAP system installations, technical configuration and performance tuning including the operating system, database, and SAP application.
• Experience with ECC 6.0 and one or more NetWeaver products.
• Experience with ABAP and JAVA administration tools.
• MS SQL or Oracle database administration experience.
• MS Windows or UNIX administration experience.
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation.
• Strong consulting skills with ability to work within a team environment.
• Understanding of SAP security concept, role development, and user creation.
Desired Skills:
• Experience leading technical teams preferred.
• Experience with BI/BW, SRM, CRM, BPC, Business Objects, Portals, or XI/PI.
• Experience with SAP technical upgrades and/or hardware migrations preferred.
• Industry experience with Retail, AFS, Manufacturing, or Public Sector preferred.
