Web Frontend Application Support Engineer

Software Support Engineer (Web frontend)
Responsibilities will include:
• Give technical support to third party developers creating applications for Samsung smart TVs, Blu-ray players and other devices
• Answer questions and resolve issues the developers have with Samsung SDK
• Understand the software requirements and debug and test the system with the customers
• Work with internal and external customers to explore product requirements and resolve challenging issues
• Effectively communicate with global engineering teams
Basic Requirements
• BS in Computer Science/Engineering, OR
• BS in related field with 3-5 years (after BS) of experience in web development
• Working experience of web application development including HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Working experience dynamic web technologies Ajax, JQuery, Prototype, etc.
• Solid knowledge of XML and JSON data formats
• Understanding of various software development tools and utilities: IDE, debugger, source control, bug tracking, etc.
• Good communication skills
• Ability to multi-task effectively under considerable pressure of deadlines and easily adapt within a fast-paced, start-up like environment
Preferred
• Second language proficiency: Korean or Spanish
• Development experience in Adobe Flash and ActionScript
• Development experience of embedded systems with C/C++
• Experience and knowledge of development on Linux OS
• Industry knowledge of new technology and standards: HTML5, WebKit, video streaming, DRM, etc.
• Interface design and experience with graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, other UI design tools)
• Design requirement and documentation experience (UI Flow, Storyboard, Layout, Specifications)
